Why Most AI Chatbots Feel Dead (and What We Did Differently)

Most AI chatbots feel dead because they are text boxes stuffed with canned answers — no voice, no memory, no ability to do anything, and a three-second pause before every reply. Talking to one feels like shouting into a filing cabinet. We built Navay, the voice receptionist on our own studio site, the opposite way: voice-first, trained on our real business knowledge, fast enough to feel conversational, and able to act — book, save, hand off. The difference is not intelligence. It is craft.
